MISSION and VISION (Quality Policy)

The organization undertakes to carry out continuous and dynamic quality improvement activities, defining methods, programs, indicators to optimize production processes through the constant investment of resources. It undertakes to understand the needs of customers and plan its activities to meet them, to constantly monitor the degree of customer satisfaction and loyalty in order to improve the quality perceived externally and to prevent any complaints by respecting the terms of delivery of products in accordance with the needs and customer expectations. The organization monitors the needs of internal and external stakeholders, increasing their level of satisfaction and constantly improving the products and services provided. It also ensures alignment with the teaching and research performance objectives in line with the University's strategic guidelines. It defines the training courses and internship activities that satisfy students as the main external interested party, as well as teachers and technical staff. It controls the processes related to the realization of the services and products offered, ensuring their compliance by monitoring the services and products supplied, analyzing their reference parameters. Finally, it ensures the realization of the products within the times established and agreed with the customer.


On December 7th, 2006 the operative units of the former Department of Plant Biology (now Department of Life Sciences and Systems Biology) has been certified UNI EN ISO 9001:2000 in the Main Hall of the University of Turin Rectorate delivered by the Director of the Division of Certification and Industry RINA, Dr Domenico Andreis, in the presence of Rector Prof. Ezio Pelizzetti and Coordinator of the Centre of Excellence CEBIOVEM Prof. Massimo Maffei (see picture). This was the first ISO certification obtained by a Department and by a Center of Excellence at the University of Turin.
